DRIVE's Upcoming Innovation Event

In the last year we’ve hosted a variety of speakers such as Dr. Matthew O. Jackson who shared about the role of social connections for socio-economic mobility, Dr. Christopher Emdin on the importance of engaging equity, the father/daughter duo Richard and Leah Rothstein on the impact of redlining and how we can challenge segregation, and Heather C. McGhee who emphasized the value of a “solidarity dividend” – where people come together across races – to collectively address the social and economic issues of our time.

To continue bringing forward- thinking change makers to Fresno, our next Innovation Event will feature Maria Hinojosa, acclaimed journalist and executive producer of NPR's Latino USA. Ms. Hinojosa has won numerous awards and honors for her work, including the 2012 John Chancellor Award for Excellence in Journalism, the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award, and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists’ Radio Award.

Save the date to join us on Wednesday, October 30 to hear from Hinojosa about how we can mobilize storytelling, the media, and journalism to build community voice and power.
